Hi, bought my first Omega but I am a little afraid i overpaid for this watch. I did not see the 'holes' at the back before i got it. It is not visible when i wear the watch. Not have papers or box. It is a seamster from 1979. Does anyone know what this watch might be wort or any other information? It's hard to know whether you overpaid without knowing what you paid.

It's a gold plated quartz is very average condition. It's not wroth much.

Yikes, that corrosion on the case means you cannot keep moisture out of the movement/ dial. I am guessing that is not the original caseback.

It is worth the value of the parts that are good. I am not sure that movement is made anymore, so it might fetch $50 if it is working (has it been repaired before? Some of the soldering looks rough). Total parts value $100 maybe?

    Soldering looks pretty rough.

    Can you return it?

Great that you can return it. If I may suggest, stick around the forum for a good long time to learn before you purchase another watch, and/or check in here on your next prospective purchase before you hand over the cash. At a minimum, reading all the "sticky threads" will teach you so much. My learning always continues.

400dollars is really too much. Send it back. For the next time be careful and check photos 3 times, especially gold plated ones. :)
