I'm looking to buy a new watch, I need to rid the last 5 g shocks I have out of my watch box. I'm looking for watches ranging from $1500/$3000 dollars. Any suggestions? I'm currently looking at a Omega seamaster 120m 36mm automatic steel and gold. The photos below are the actual watch.

Really confusing post....so you want you replace 5 g shocks w 5 other watches? Go for it.

    my two cents:

it is great you have chosen this as a hobby, but pump the brakes, read some posts, and get a better idea of what you should be asking.

You have justified buying $12000 watches but need to get rid of 5 G-Shocks. Okay then... :D

If you follow through on your plan, then next years plan will be to sell those watches and consolidate your collection. Instead, I would focus on buying one or two special and collectible pieces.

Yeah true, I don't don't sell my watches I've been inspired to buy a total of 12 for now. I just want to get it filled with nicer watches as quickly as I can. Once that's done I'm saving for a AP Royal oak.

Orrrrrr save now and get the royal Oak sooner. Really can’t say whether you are trying to mess with the group or not, but I can’t rule it out

Yes, maybe he is trolling us. This approach is exactly the opposite as what any experienced collector would recommend. Why buy 5 watches just to hit some arbitrary number? Especially if they are mediocre pieces like the OP watch. It's not as easy to sell as you think, and you will consistently take losses on pieces like that. Almost every collector will tell you that they regret not being more thoughtful about their collection from the beginning.

Not trolling, just impatient I guess you are correct about that. It is pretty ass backwards but anything is better to look at, at this point to me. What do you guys think about Raymond Weil or chronoswiss? They have some nice looking beginners watches for 500/1500.

It’s not backwards necessarily, it’s just weird. The reason people think you are trolling is that it makes zero sense.

After seeing your last post, I would be inclined to suggest moving all but 1 G-shock, keeping all the mechanical watches and leaving your collection at that.

What's the point of buying Raymond Weil and etc when you've got enough watches to wear a new one every day of the week?

Concentrate on saving up for the RO rather than whacking your cash on cheap stuff and regretting it down the line.

Heck if it's that horrifying to look at an empty watch box just get a smaller one.
