Hi all, I am new to this forum and also a novice to vintage omegas. I am keen to get my first vintage omega and will like to seek advice on this particular one. Doesn't look refinished to me but decided i should seek your opinion.

Don't know about the dial but that movement doesn't look great... compare the rotor surface to that main plate.

The dial seems OK, but the rotor look like not from the same package.

I love the dial and case. Very interesting, no gasket on the cover though. This may be what caused the movement to get discolored and then need repair. Hard to say what the functional shape of the movement is now. Sometimes they can look this way and be in great running shape, sometimes not. I guess may come down to what the final price is.

Looks like the plating was partially cleaned off the base. Other than that, it seems to be decent.

Thanks guys. What kind of work should be done to the base or should anything be done at all? I love the dial but am afraid much work will be have to be done to the movement. And also, what will be a fair price for this example? (Not too sure if price discussion is allowed.)

It's possible to have the base replated but not necessary. If the movement works then don't worry about it.

We're happy to talk price. Wait for one of the other guys who've owned Connies like this to chime in.

A fair price? 750 + or - . What will it go for? Always hard to predict on eBay, but I would guess 600-900. If you want it, don't bid before the last 15 seconds and if it looks like the biding is not above where you want to be, enter a figure something above what you want to pay, unless you want to find out you lost by .50¢
