So I bought this 3510 from a reputable Japanese dealer on eBay. According to all of my research on the serial, this watch was made in the 1991-2 timeframe.

But it looks so clean that I’m not entirely sure it’s real. I don’t think the speedy autos are worth faking but who knows. What do you guys think....

I don’t see any reason to suspect it’s fake, but I might question the production date. can’t necessarily tell from the photos, but the lack of T’s next to Swiss made leads me to think it might be Luminova lume, which wasn’t used by Omega until the mid-90’s.

well, I was told the serial numbers follow the Omega number scheme and not the special speedmaster scheme. So, following the chart, the serial puts it at the early 90s. Now I wonder if they were part of a different number scheme.....

How long does it glow after being exposed to light? If it’s pre 99 it shouldn’t be more then a few seconds.

No the Speedmaster scheme is only for 321/861 variants. I agree that 53m suggests early 1990s, I think your estimate is about right. Not every Omega tritium dial had T marks so that may also be consistent. Also the dial could have been replaced at service. Maybe it is just in very good condition, some Japanese watches are,
