Omega watches did not always come with Omega casebacks.

Many were produced in other countries by local production companies, some marked Omega, some not.

It would help if we knew more about the watch and saw pics of the caseback, inside and out.

Case doesn't look particularly Omegarish to me.

casebook is blank. nothing on either side of it. I was under the impression that was just for the solid gold watches because of import duties in the 40s and 50s, not stainless watches

99% of the time, yes. But there could have been times when excess movements were just cased up to sell. It's also possible this movement was originally in a gold case that got scrapped.

It's also possible that it's an Omega case and somebody will be along to pin it down for you.

aren't the Sc's a higher end movement? wouldn't it be weird for omega to sell off excess of these rather than the more base models, or even to ship them overseas rather than case them?
not trying to be argumentative, and appreciate your input. just trying to learn a little
