...if you try to sell it on Ebay, you will get more than 57USD - I´d buy it. Looks like a 12.68 ZS, 34 or 35mm diameter ?!?

Hi guys, took some "better" pics of the watch. I'm really happy with it. The pics show a lot of scratches on the crystal, but in reality, they are not that bad. They don't detract from seeing the dial at all. By the way, it also comes with Hirsch strap. So what I paid was really worth it.

Based on the serial number, it seems the watch was made in 1954. I've been reading on the 12.68 ZS movement but I couldn't find more info outside Ranfft. Any info from here would be greatly appreciated :) Thanks!

@ulackfocus will know a bit more than me ( a lot more really)

But turning into a great score for the $57 paid.

That watch is sure to cost more than 57$. The dial is a bit rough. I can't figure out whether the crown is signed but judging by the shape it is genuine. The crystal should be an easy replace.

That movement alone, although I don't know which one it is (should be some ZS version), should cost 100-150$ alone on ebay. Guaranteed. It's an upper tier movement, no doubt.
You got yourself a 300$+ watch if you get it cleaned, serviced and fixed here and there.

Am I the only one that overpays on watches like this ? Stumbled upon a similar watch a few weeks ago and the guy wanted 200-250$. FFS

I think it's an older redial so have it redone again with as accurate of a period correct font that can be found.

I'd take that for $57 just for parts alone!
