    Hi guys,

This is the watch that got me into collecting Omega timepieces from the 70’s and 60’s.

It is a Omega Seamaster 145.024 ”Jedi” with a special blue soleil dial.

As you can see, this is close to NOS condition and considered fully original. (it still had the red dot on the caseback in 2017).

Does anyone know anything more of this version as there is very little information out there for this watch. I have an Extract where everything checks out, but there are no remarks in it and under Dial: it says Not mentioned. The watch was produced in 72 and sold to Sweden with a 322079xx serial number.

There was another similar watch and thread here in 2013 where there was a mention of a Limited Edition Blue Dial, but that’s all I know...

    https://omegaforums.net/threads/ext...-stock-omega-seamaster-jedi-chronograph.8312/

I post a picture from the original papers for the watch mentioned above also here. (It’s serial is only +100 from mine)

So does any of you have any additional info as the Extract didn’t provide me any more info. Or where could I try to go to next?

Thankful for all comments and help. :)

Well it’s a beautiful watch with a special dial fitted. They have tried this kind of dials on different models in the late sixties and seventies. The TV screen is a well known one, the Jedi like yours, there are other seamaster models with blue soleil dials, and even guess what? Speedmasters !

Unfortunately a lot of those blue dials have aged quite bad : corrosion, peeling etc. Yours looks superb

The same watch like yours was listed for sale since weeks on eBay but (I believe because of a corroded dial) didn’t sell...

I have the same Jedi seamaster , as far I know there are four types of dials the blue dial, the silver ,the panda dial and the greyish dial wich is also available as a replacement. All watches are made in the early 70’s(70,71 and in 73’ for a “limited edition) . There is some info found here although none of it seems conclusive:

Thanks for all the info, the link I already had the pleasure to read, great stuff! Is there any ideas at all on how many have been produced, just as a curiosity.

Hi JanV as of now one can only guestimate , wich I don't like to do . What I'm sure of though is that it's not a massive amount , It certainly falls in the category of a sorta "rare" watch without the hefty pricetag . I do like em though! I'm blessed with tiny girly man wrists LOL and this is one 70's Omega watch I can atleast wear. I would love a Seamaster 1000m or a ploprof or a 200m Pilot but these look big and akward. The dial on your's looks mint as do the hands. I have actually changed my dial to one in a better condition, but let me tell you it was not easy finding one! And then find one wich is in decent condition. These dials suffer from lacquer problems , wich my newer one has as well but its better than it was. See my post on this : https://omegaforums.net/threads/in-search-for-a-dial-flat-jedi.27425/#post-965397

Thanks for the reply, I have looked at your watch before, looking good! Maybe not easy at all to get your hands on a blue dial. The next favourite watch on my list is the Big Blue, what a contrast to the Jedi that would be. :)

That would be a wonderful addition , my modern watch a 2231 with electric blue dial is a good companion as well ! Nothing beats the charm of a nicw vintage watch though.

I add my contribution to this thread.
Here is my recently acquired blue soleil Jedi.
Also in this case the extract does not provide info on the dial.
From the info we got right now seems like movement batch is 32207###, so can we assume that a maximum of 999 examples were produced?

I also have a blue soleil jedi and the extract mentions the blue dial.
I don't have the exatract at hand, but can post the movement # later, if that helps.

It was mentioned that the greyish dial is still available as a replacement - does anyone have an idea where I could get one?

    Regards, Michael

    Hello Michael,

one of those dials appeared on eBay some months ago. So I would look there.
