Hi ! I spotted this Polerouter Super for sale a few days ago. One don't see them on sell very often so I figured I would take my chances.

However, I fear the second hand on this watch is not original. Never seen one like this a polerouter. But I'm no expert... What do you guys think ? The rest of the watch seems legit, but if you spot anything, it would be very much appreciated. Is it tough to source an original UG second hand ?

    Cheers !

I'm not so sure about the hands. I agree that the seconds hand is wrong but I think the hour and minutes hands might be ok. There seem to have been a few different handsets found on the Super and I think this might be one of them. I attach photos of other watches (not mine) with what look to be the same hands.

I also saw this watch for sale. In addition to that seconds hand, a few things put me off:

    - Although the case looks super sharp, there seems to be a nasty rough patch between the bezel and top left lug
    - The movement looks a bit tired
    - I'm not 100% sure about the date wheel. The typeface is different to some others I've seen but there may have been more than one type. 483131-5e5794311ddb2b1dbf1bbe9fca78cf95.jpg

Thanks @Larry S , I too often forget that useful rule of thumb.

Two questions spring to mind though:

    - If the hands are wrong, which hands should the watch have?
    - Are we absolutely sure that the dial never had any lume?

I agree that is the question. Second hands are in short supply as well.

Thank for your advice. I didn't notice the date wheel and the absence of lume. I have a lot to learn ! I guess i'll pass on this one.

But it raises interesting questions. Do Super always have lume plots ? THe dial shows some patina and doesn't seem redone. Maybe the plots were removed during a service ?

The mention swiss T means that tritium lume was applied. To my experience when hands have lume then dial too, works on the other way.
On this watch lume plots should be there. To my opinion hands are relumed, so yes the lume plots may have been removed during a service

    Nice watch anyway!!

@FlorentD Thanks to all those pics it seems that the date wheel on your Polerouter has a font more thick
Hard to source a correct second hand, even more in steel!
