Need help to restore this watch

Hey guys,

my name is Alex and I am from Germany. I´m very passionated about Omega watches. In march I bought one for my fiancée and she loves the watch. Unfortunately the dealer wasn´t that honest an after a short time the watch stopped running and the crystal fell 3 times apart. I took it to a watchmaker friend of my dad an he serviced it...badly. It´s not running accurate an the badest about it is that the seconds hand fell apart and after 10 minutes also the glas. Now we lost the seconds hand...
The watch is wearable because it's keeping time okay. I mean 90s/d. We can not afford to get it serviced again, so it will be left like that.
The crystal can not be left like that so we need an advice. Which crystal do we need and what does it have to do with this ring? Do you also know where I can get the seconds hand? Thanks for any advice.
Some information about the watch:
Omega Seamaster Automatic Ref. 566.026

Here the photos.

Greets
Alex

I think the hour and minute hands may also be incorrect.

I'm sad to hear about the bad luck you have had with this watch and that your money went into such incompetent work on the watch. Instead of continuing to invest more and more money, another option would be to sell it as-is for as much money as you can get, and then take some time to research Omega watches and save money for a better purchase.

I know that this is not answering your specific question and that this advice is unsolicited, but it's just what came into my mind as someone with some experience buying old watches. Sometimes you just need to take your losses instead of putting good money after bad.

Hands match this one on ebay:
https://www.ebay.com/itm/326581122069

OP:
That crystal is loose because it is worn I suspect. You need to measure it and see if you can find a replacement (or find a GOOD watchmaker who might be able to do it for a reasonable price with one they have in stock, you actually end up buying 2-3 crystals of 'around that' sizes and seeing which ones 'fit' best). You likely need a crystal press to re-install it. Frankly, it is a little bit of a tedious/non-trivial task that could damage the rest of the watch if not done properly. That ring goes inside of the crystal/around the dial (you can see it in the picture above).

I don't disagree with DanS though, you're perhaps better off seeing if there is something she likes as much that she can trade this one in for/towards.

I totally agree with Dan's advice, also because that's a women's watch and it has no collectible value.
If you like that style -I like it too- you could save money and look for a 166.067 reference, the men’s equivalent.

To me, the OP hands look much shorter.

OH! I think you're right! I thought it was the angle of the photo, but yeah, the minute hand is too short. Hour hand I'm less convinced at, but you're probably right on that too.

Yes, I was mainly noticing that the minute hand was far short of the minute track.

I think the current crystal doesn't fit because it's a flat crystal, not the correct generic version that holds the tension ring inside. You can find a replacement crystal on eBay if you search for "Omega PX5170".

I agree with the advice you received above that it may make more sense to find another watch in good condition and sell the current one. If you are patient, you may find a good deal on eBay from a Japanese seller.

Hands are not right - correct hour and minute hands are part 065PX1086.

Seconds hand is 066TX1331.

Correct crystal is 063PX5170, or 063PX5170L if you want a magnifier over the date.

Thanks for all advice. So I need to repair it because it has sentimental value. I gifted it to her.
But you are right with the value of the watch. It will be a mess and way to expensive.

Eh? seems like "she loves the watch". The real lesson is:

Bigger lesson here is never buy a your lady a watch without a watchmaker's input.
