    Hi everybody!
I'm interested in this Speedy. Selling price is 3000 USD. It seems to be legit in my opinion, but I'm not expert. Need your advice. Thanks in advance. Sorry, no more pictures yet. IMG_0388.JPG IMG_0389.JPG IMG_0390.JPG IMG_0391.JPG IMG_0392.JPG

From what I can see, the bezel and case and hands look nice. The dial is nice but not correct for a 78. Would be from a 74 or early 76. Price is in line assuming all the other pieces check out.

..because it might be a 74 or 76 which makes it even nicer :)
@balaja : get a movement pcture where you can see the serial, caseback inside picture is also telling. Price is okay IMO

It's not easy to be sure from those pictures, but the case looks very over polished to me.

Ya, I am not fan of this particular case.

And it's back on the market. This is the watch someone was asking about a few weeks back.

you guys are enourmously picky! Unpolished cases are stage 2 or 3 in the course of Speedy addiction and significantly blow a budget!

I would pass, based on the case. Everything else is nice. Suppose you could hunt another proper vintage case. But I'd just hunt for a better one. Those lugs are too far gone.

+1 on passing up on this. There are plenty out there for this reference. I'd definitely ask to see the movement, check the serial and then the case back.

That upper left lug... I'd say it's a bit over priced. Def need to see caseback and serial number to confirm -74 or -76 otherwise pass.

Maybe so, but as a watch collector that has flipped ~50% of my collection I can tell you that those I have flipped that have been fine examples were sold for more than I purchased and those that had service parts or over polish ended up selling for less than I purchased.

NOTE/CORRECTION: I had previously stated that I had never sold/flipped a Speedmaster. I totally forgot I sold my Speediorite a few years back. I hated the sapphire crystal, as it gave a haze over that wonderful dial.

In, uh.... certain 145.022-76s that have passed through my ownership, I had to use an Olloclip magnifying lens to distinguish between -76 and -78 in photos. Even kind of difficult to see in person unless you're really looking up close IMO

    A minor drawback if, that's a beauty.

Fully agree, hence the appears. I'd just want to confirm.
