    Hi guys,
I recently bought a f300hz Seamaster 198.001 in incredible condition for a great price (will post pics later), but would like to put the case in an ultrasonic cleaner without the movement. Can anybody help with how to remove the stem (I've copied a pic from a different post hear, but the movement is the same). The reason I would like to take the movement out is just to make sure there aren't any gross leaks. I've removed and greased/replaced the case back O-ring, wouldn't mind checking the crystal gasket too. Thanks for any advise.

First I would advise removing the battery.

Blue line is the release button for the stem, press down gently with a small screwdriver or pointed tweezers, hold down while gently pulling the stem/crown free.

Red lines are the retainer screws and clamps.

A fine tipped par if tweezers will be necessary to reposition the screws and tabs when refitting the movement.

Awesome thanks. I bought a watch tool set when I ordered the Omega so I luckily had those tools on hand. I'll post up some pics soon. The only issue I seem to have and I don't recall if it did it before is that when the crown is all the way in it seems to slightly catch the date and kind of make it move in between dates. It pulls out to the click point that changes the date and the point that changes the time, but when all the way in.. it seems like it could go in just a touch further to not catch the date gear. I've taken it apart a couple times now with the same result. Crown is clean as is the stem so there's no dirt in the way. Perhaps the crown is threaded a bit to far into the stem? Otherwise, I was happy to see that the crystal has the tiny Omega trademark in the middle.

Thanks for the heads up on the disc. It seems to go fully into the mechanism out of the case, but just shy of the final click into the mechanism when the crown is inserted from the outside of the case. It seems to just "tickle" the date and make a budge just a touch. I wonder if there is any way to unscrew the crown from the stem just a thread so it seats a touch deeper into the mechanism when pushed in.
