Hi everyone. I just bought an Omega Constellation, the case is Rose gold capped with reference 167.005. The movement serial is 21 million with cal.551. I need to ask everyone if this is original or has a dial or any issues I need to be aware of. Thanks everyone!

Dial has some spotting / bubbling on the surface, looks like an entirely original watch though, including the casebook seal which needs replacing. Not a bad piece though, I quite prefer the 551 variants with no-date, they're quite convenient when you rotate your watches a fair bit. Definitely get it serviced before using it too.

yes its original, are you servicing it yourself? If you are you'll want to get a new seal into it, the dial looks like its already seen enough moisture

Looks entirely original to me, too. The lugs are a little bit overpolished, but not too dramatically.

Lift angle for your timegrapher should be 49°. So real amplitude is even lower. Definitely needs a service. And yes, as said above, a ndw gasket.

May I ask if it is normal to only see bubbling on the pie-pan (outer) section of the dial? If so any idea what causes that?

Little bubbles in the lacquer layer is pretty common unfortunately.

Yes, I've also seen it on authentic ones, including my own.

The tritium lime is missing from the dial indices. ‘Swiss made T’ denotes this ship’s be present.

Yes, you can see that the lume has been removed from the indices.

OP, when you post a watch, you may get additional responses beyond the ones you requested. It's usually best just to accept them - this is the internet and everyone gets to post what they want. If some responses are helpful, be grateful - you're getting free feedback from experts. If you want someone to cater to your every whim, pay for an appraisal.
