Need help: Omega 671 Mainspring direction

Dear Omega enthusiasts,

I am servicing an omega 671 movement. While disassembling I forgot to take a picture of the mainspring direction.
Does someone know, if it is right handed wound (then I would need to press the fresh mainspring with colored side facing me, correct?) or left handed wound?

I am thankful for every hint.

Best Regards.

You are looking at the back of the watch movement. The centre wheel needs to turn counter-clockwise when looking at the back of the movement (clockwise from the front). So from the back of the movement, the barrel has to turn clockwise in order to turn the centre wheel counter-clockwise! Think about it.

This sounds very logic. This way I can explain it on my own. Thank you for the hint.

Imho the coloured (blue) side of the metal ring around the new mainspring should be facing you.
This would also be my guess. I just wanted the confirmation to keep me safe from mistaking. It is always a struggle to get those mainsprings from UK.

Thank you.

If you look at the barrel arbor you can see the hook which will grab the hole of the innerwinding of the mainspring. So reasoning backwards from that point will tell you of you have to put the clockwise or contra colockwise in the barrel.
Springs are not always in a colour coded ring…..so better use logic instead of “blue always on top”.
