    Good Afternoon,

I'm looking at the watch linked below :

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/181447739341?_trksid=p2055119.m1438.l2649&ssPageName=STRK:MEBIDX:ITPurchases made through these links may earn this site a commission from the eBay Partner Network

It's marked as Seamaster but it has a Cal1481 movement, and, after some online research, I found out that this movement was only found on Geneve models. Could this be a Geneve with a Seamaster face ? I'm afraid that it's a frankenwatch.

Any help would be appreciated, as I sent him an offer which he has accepted, but I haven't committed to it yet and I don't want a non-original watch.

Not a great watch and from a bad era in Omega's history, you can do much better for the money

That's a lot of dollars for a DeVille, what I'd suggest is read the WRUW thread a bit, and look at what some of the other guys are wearing, then work out what you like the most, and target a few watches within your budget.
