Hey guys, new here! I just got my first omega from my late dad, my mom found it in a drawer so guess its mine now. But I cant find this exact model anywhere, i've been scrolling through the omega vintage collection and random google but without luck, so i need some help identifying it so I can read up about it. Is it ok to ask you guys?
Thanks!

Looks like a gold capped 2846 from the late 1950s. Post a pic of the caseback and I'll tell you more. Be aware that a given model might have literally dozens of dial variations so you wont always find a match on the OVD or for that matter on Google even when you have the model number which is stamped on the inside of the caseback by the way.

The crown is likely a generic replacement from a previous service, but the correct crown is available at Omega-authorized service centers, when you send this watch for service. We can recommend based on your location or who we trust if you don't mind mailing it off somewhere.
