I opened the watch case in an attempt to identify this old woman's watch of my great grandmother, but the front case comes out, and I cannot see a way to open it and I dont want to break it. Any help would be appreciated before I turn to a watchmaker.
If this needs to be in another forum, apologies.

Looks like a 1940s watch with elements of art deco design.
Need higher definition pictures to see if there are hallmarks indicating if gold or gold filled, and a crisper picture of the dial to see if it is original.
Also would need to see the back and the inside for engravings.
It’s a good idea to get it to a professional to detach the remaining parts as you might indeed damage it and that would be a pity.
You’re not going to get any more info than that, it’s not as if there would be a model name. It’s a nice looking watch though!
