Hi guys and gals!

I have a lenovo laptop and I can't get out of "S" mode no matter how many times I go thru the procedure. It keeps prompting me to sign in via phone number, then password, then enter email. When I get to the point of entering my email it says that email address is already in use. Yea...it's used by us! Total circle-jerk as I'm trying to download the zoom app and can't do it while in S mode. Any techies out here that can help me out?

Sorry Fred I’ll reached out to my wife but she must be busy as she didn’t get back to me, or maybe she is out buying her boyfriend a watch. I remember she had a Lenovo at one point if I hear back I will ask

I can tell you how to send a fax. You insert a paper, you fill in the faxnumber and you push send.

But good luck! 😁

Try creating a different email address via outlook.com, add that account as an admin, log in with that accout and run the s mode app from the store

My wife being an engineer, first thing she will do is a soft reset (or even turn the product off and on) prior to frigging around with things. You probably tried that but if you didn’t give it a shot.

I hear my wife’s boyfriend has a nice watch collection.

That should work.

S mode makes zero sense... you should be free default to home.

@janice&fred
is this a new laptop or old one that got stuck in a mode?

laptop is less than a year old. I tried everything including the quoted suggestions but microsoft won't accept any email addresses...even their own outlook express email that I just created.

Thanks for all the suggestions and finally got it out of "S" mode. All I had to do was wait for my 12 yr old kid to get home from school and she got it done 😁

Well this answers the question if you're smarter than a 12-year old.😝::rimshot::

So user error was the issue then?

I prefer to call it "operator error". Sounds like I might otherwise be qualified 😁

@janice&fred children are oddly immune to the ID 10 T errors. Also they seem to have fewer unspecified errors between user and keyboard.
