Hello everyone, I need some assistance to identify this watch. The dials overall look okay to me, more or less looks like Suveran model, the case back shows 2383-2 but have 1973 stamp on it. Might be caseback from other watch. The crown has been changed but still have omega logo on it. I think the movement is 30T2. So my questions are whether the dial and the case number are from the same model, i try to search all over internent but couldn't find the case no with this kind of dial with roman numbering. Secondly, whether the movement looks good? Any advise is highly appreciated. Anyway, the seller asking for USD900 for it.

 

I'm not at all knowledgeable about these 30T2 references but a quick Google shows many dial variations of the ref 2383. Looking at yours my first impression is that it is very attractive and correct, obviously the crown is wrong and the hands ( which match aesthetically very well ) may be a little too long...( actually only the minute hand looks too long )

 

Thank you for your reply! Yes the minute hand indeed too long.. definitely has been replaced.

 

The 2383's came with different dials, but those hour & minute hands didn't come together with that dial. I'm pretty sure the hands are not original.

Also, the balance has been changed, its a different colour from the rest of the movement.

As for the 1973 stamp, it's not a case reference, more like a serial number of sorts.
