    Hello,

my name is Dietmar from germany ,and I am new here.

Sorry for my english it is not the best !

The last four years I found my new hobby : watch collecting

Especially omega constellation from the 50s to the late 70s and I love the pie pan models in gold.

This is what i bought the last 4 years in 18k connies :

From left to the right : 1. A 2954 de luxe with the 504 movement
    2. A 2699 de luxe with the 354 movement
    3. A C shape with the 1021 movement

Now I get an offer of these two pie pans from private :

    Bild 1201.jpg

Sorry about the quality of the pictures ,no other available.
What the owner knows is : the first has the 561 movement and comes from the early 60s

And the second houses a 551 movement and comes although from the early 60s.

Can you tell me something about the model type , vear and dial originality.

If i had a model type I can search in the inet for the originality

Is it worth to drive a few hours to check the backsides and movements ,or would the experts here say:

It is not worth because of the dial case ...-

    Thanks

    Dietmar

Hi Dietmar & welcome to the forum!

Really classy pieces you got there, congratulations!

The 2 you´re considering both looks OK to me, could be well worth a couple of hour on the road to pick them up, after first have examined the condition in person (the pictures aren´t that good so you can determine anything with certainty), and of course depending on the priced asked for them.

    Good luck!

With watches like that, why not choose a screen name like 'Caaarnstellation' instead of 'Saarmaster'? ::rimshot::

    Hi,

today I was a couple of hours on the road and I picked one of them up. The 14393.

The other was too much polished although the backside ,no stars.

And I cant find out if it is the right movement to the case.

Here the pictures from the watch I picked up

In real it looks better ,must learn to make better photos.

I hope this is an original. the next days I will make pictures from the movement and the inner side.

    Thanks to all

I cant describe it looks in the light of the day ,shiny dial, sharp edges, shiny numerals on the dial.

I hope I can make a photo in the real quality next time.

    Im happy with this deal.

Yes its a solid rose 18k
