Hey everyone, I'm new to this forum and interested in purchasing my first vintage omega. Thinking about purchasing this Vintage 1966 Omega Constellation. Anyone know if this watch is authentic or not? I am guessing this is caliber 561 too; correct me if I'm wrong. And if anyone can provide any cool information on this watch, that'd be great as I'd love to learn more about this line's history. The watch is listed at about $800. For its condition, do you guys think this is a fair price? Bad price? Good price? Sorry if my questions seem a little dumb, new to vintage watch collecting haha.

Not worth the asking price. It's very beat up, incorrect crown and the movement has issues, major rotor rub is the most obvious.

Wouldn't even consider this one regardless of price.

A nice one can be had for similar money.

Read this http://omega-constellation-collectors.blogspot.com/ before considering any Constellation purchase and hang out here for about six months.

Thank you for the insight! Appreciate the save haha. I checked out a PDF,
http://users.tpg.com.au/mondodec//aCaseStudydefinitive.pdf provided by the website, but I can't seem to find what the original crown should look like.

Just the photo angle, it’s a bevelled edge.
