Dear respected Omega experts, A newbie would like to ask your advice. I try to purchase watches below and would like your say whether it is a wise move or not. 1. A Speedmaster Moonwatch ref 3570.50.00, Caliber 1861 movement Come with box but no paper. The price is USD 2100 and come from local Indonesia trade website. The seller only put this 2 pictures: 2. A Constellation SS Automatic Day Date from 1970's movement Caliber 1022 The auction is still on. What do you guys think the fair price for this model and condition. Also the seller did not show open movement. Is it possible to ask for the movement photo? How crucial it is to see open movement? Last bid is USD 290. The seller is still giving opportunity for making offer through 'Buy it now'. I plan to offer him USD 400 (against his asking USD 759). The condition is OK but the crown seems has been replaced with non original. Here is the link to his Ebay site: http://www.ebay.com.sg/itm/22113787...WAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649#ht_698wt_910Purchases made through these links may earn this site a commission from the eBay Partner Network I also want to know the realibility of Omega Quartz movement, how long usually they can last? and if some of the parts fail how difficult to replace it? I know I might make too rush move against better judgement and the wise comment to be patient in building collection, so any advice would be humbly considered. Thank you. Herianto
Probably 60%. He sell many other brands with original guarantee. If I buy it, I will meet him in my watch repairer shop that I trust and have him take a look (possibly open the case back to see the movement too).
