Hello! I have absolute zero knowledge about Omega watches but would like to buy to my husband nice present for his birthday. I have found a nice watch and would like to hear your opinion and advices about the watch, plus your help about how to understand is it an original one, not fake.
Thank you very much in advance!
P.S.: Here the pictures of my possible present!

If you have a better photo of the dial, that would help.

I am afraid i cannot ask for better photos, because the owner is a senior person and cannot make it better. May you please point out what i should pay attention for while i would check it? maybe you have the "ideal" photo of the dial to use a reference while check?
    Best regards from Amsterdam, Lena

It actually looks okay but without seeing the dial up close, and in focus, I wouldn't guarantee it's not a redial.

You can find that information by searching sold items on eBay.

Also, when you look at prices of similar watches, keep in mind your watch has a gold-capped stainless steel case and is NOT solid gold in whole or part. (I'm not one of the experts here, but you can trust me on that important fact.)

Yes, you are right, the seller said me exactly this fact. We agreed now on price of 500 EUR (at ebay i see average of 1000 USD, am i have a good deal? :)). At 2014 he restored the watch and now it looks like completely new.

The watch is pretty much worth what you are paying, more or less.

It's a Franken watch though. The case and movement do not belong together

True. Should be a 283 or at least a SC caliber from the 28X series.

    So run away!
