I have found this add for a UG tri compax, what do you think would be a fair price to pay for it and is it all original in your opinion? Its 18k gold, ref: 12295
Its suppose to be from the 40's but it seem to me its in a to good state to be true. DSC05497.JPG DSC05498.JPG DSC05499.JPG DSC05500.JPG DSC05501.JPG DSC05504.JPG DSC05505.JPG

    Redial imo.

Date markers are poorly done, hour subdial markings are wrong, amongst others...

Thank a lot for the feedback, so you think its not a really interesting watch? How much would you estimate it?

Redials sort of fall off the radar for the hardcore collectors, tomadear. They are worth the value of the parts unless you happen to have an authentic dial lying around.

I went down that road -- damaged rather than redialled -- and 15 months later I'm just starting to appreciate how hard it is to find good, appropriate Tri-Compax dials out there.

    +1 ...

I'm far from an expert but I certainly wouldn't call it a steal at 3500 euros if it's a redial.

Timjohn, I like your dial, its 1950s design and its lovely patina... I think you should make peace with it. A replacement dial may not have the same charm.

True, but the running seconds subdial is a hell of a mess. Maybe I just need to wear it more

Yes, those who have a replacement dial (like I do) or patience.
