I'm assuming it's a vintage/neo-vintage Moonwatch, hence why you are looking local. If modern though, I'd send it for factory service.

No need to send for a factory service at an huge cost when an indie (who I like to support) can do the same job. Thx though.

No Tony. Sold a watch a while ago and its started loosing a bit of time and as I warranty all my watches, to save it coming all the way back to the UK, I would rather find a service place close to the client and pay for that. Shipping, insurance etc just makes it more feasible to find someone there. Hope you're well matey!

Sorry, I can't help with Houston. I'm near Dallas/Fort Worth. I can make a recommendation in Fort Worth, Texas or in Sacramento, California.

Nic is a young guy, very enthused about vintage watches. His new shop has an eclectic mix of trash and treasures. So far he's serviced six pocket watches and two wrist watches for me, including two hard cases that had been butchered by a hack during a previous service. Another watchmaker said they were hopeless or too worn to repair. They are ticking happily and accurately today. He's also provided minor parts and adjustments on a few more watches for cheap to free. He loves to talk watches and has some lovely personal pieces.
