My daughter would happily take in the foxes.

And not tell me until I discover them hidden in a blanket fort in her room.
They have posted some videos of the kits playing - they are so cute...

A couple of doves made this nest maybe 6 or 7 years ago. Seems every year we have s chance to see a new generation born. Some years two or three batches. This year it's been two times there have been babies. It's my front door, which as you csn imagine is a bit problematic for both families. I set my phone to timer and hold it above the nest as I walk in the house. Why it is so close to the front door is a mystery.

Used to see many more of his kind. Ever since the fires last year in California, haven't seen new babies in more than a year. Was already wild life transportation regulated and on endangered species listed. Now a rare sight. Children don't know what he is unlike the more popular macaws.

We had a Goffins cockatoo for many years, and she was the same. She spent every evening sitting on my chest demanding cuddles…

European Goldfinch surveying its Kingdom and laughing at the cat.
No sure what the other bird is - too big for a Finch :0)

Walking through a small park in a densely populated area. This gal must get fed by a lot of people. The second I stopped and made eye contact she came closer.

Doing some work on the back deck, and this female Whitetail Skimmer ended up in the shade while we were filling a hole with dirt, so my wife let her crawl onto her glove, and I took a couple of photos. It was quite cool that day so once we placed her into some sun, she was good and flew away...
