So I've been contemplating how to wear my Speedmaster now that I've made my 2254.50 my daily watch.

I've currently got the Speedmaster on a black Omega NATO, and I'm just curious, when and where do you guys wear a NATO? I work in a business casual setting, and usually dress in polo shirts with jeans/slacks and shoes, so I'm wondering how my NATO will do in that setting.

How about you guys? NATO for fun? NATO for business? NATO for everyday, everywhere, everytime?

    Thanks for any input.

Casual and hot days on nylon nato, or when I am feeling hipstery I wear them on leather nato's. I would not wear one really in a Business Casual or higher ever, although I have a great brown leather nato that perfectly matches a pair of my shoes on really thin leather... I might cheat a bit with that one jeans/sportcoat.

If it matches your shoes I can see no issue with a Polo shirt and jeans.

I loved my 2254.50 on a bond NATO [IMG]

I have long since sold that watch but wear NATO/Zulus with everything from beach attire to my work attire (biz casual sport jacket dress pants). I'm not really a bracelet guy so I mainly wear watches on leather, leather ZULUs, or NATOs

My watches definitely get noticed more in the wild when wearing NATOs

The bracelet came off my speedy the day I got it, and has been cycling through about 5 NATO straps since then.

I went to a PO which was the watch I wanted to begin with. Having both to me and a sub was really redundant. I have to say, I may go back to the 2254.50 eventually as there is just something about it that I really loved.

There are a few OEM and OEM style rubber straps that work well with the 2254 BTW.

Often in the summer as I don't want to sweat the leather out and the metal sometimes bugs me.

Otherwise whenever i feel like it

Natos are a fun cheap way to change up your look/match some clothes. So I say they are always appropriate outside of a tux.

Unless your are James Bond... I have to say it looks good, but anything looks good on James Bond. Even a stupid NATO that is 2mm short of the lug width.

I find a NATO strap to be a little too casual for the formal office I work in, but a NATO is perfect out in the field:

The black NATO in this shot is actually the [..gasp!!!] Omega strap that was included with my Speedmaster

When I am on vacation I switch to NATO's and bring several. Sometimes on Fridays, but everyday is causal in my office...

I work in the most casual place imaginable and can easily get away with wearing shorts and a t-shirt every day. Except when on business trips, then it's usually shirt and blazer and dark jeans, still keeping it as casual as possible. For normal days on the office I sometimes wear my Speedy on a Rover Haven MIL-strap, an admiralty grey Pheonix NATO or just its 1171-Barcelet. I almost never use other NATO's, as I usually find them a bit too much. Sub is worn on bracelet. If wearing shirt I normally don't wear Speedy, because he is difficult to hide under the cuffs. Then it is one of my 30mm vintage Seamasters or the Sub on bracelet or a shell cordovan strap from fellow forum member jankoxxx.
