Amazing watches.

I wonder how the 861 ended up in the Schirra watch?

Expecting more news to come as the collection might be "serviced" by Omega SA and some might go on display in the upcoming "expansion" to the Omega Museum in Bienne - Switzerland... After all, 2017 is an anniversary year for the Speedmaster chronograph 馃槑

Humm. Hard to tell for sure but it appears Wally Schirra's Speedmaster 105.003-64 has those tall pushers that I've seen on a few older Speedies and thought them incorrect. Not any more.
Look again at the watch. It's been "modified". Was this the already known one or is there a second one like this? I'm a little lazy to look up the chart Chuck made.

At least one of Mr.Scirra's was an 861 in a straight lug case.

Also, as a bit of heresay, when I chatted with Mr. Ragan at the Speedmaster 50 auction, he said he knew exactly which reference Mr.Scirra wore and would be publishing information about it "soon" .
