For the forum colleagues that also have love for some old steel, or for horological beauty in general, a few macro shots of my newest addition; a 1944 ‘radial dial’ 2348 with cal. 30T2SC (10,6mio serial).

This picture was taken when I had just picked her up (also posted in WRUW here today):

And these I just made in the evening light. Amazing how nicely finished these 1940’s dials already were. Gorgeous melt of structures. Also note the lovely ‘craquelé’ - crazing, cracking of the chrome paint finish on the deco numbers.

Beautiful pictures...and you've got to love a bit of 1940's vertical case brushing 😀

I don 't get why they stopped doing that during the 1950s... that vertical case brushing is very nice indeed.

Gorgeous pics of a gorgeous watch! It's hard to find one in such spectacular condition. I've been looking for a 30t2 for a while now but so many seem to be overpriced or in terrible condition.

These are not screw-down cases so a lot did get moisture damage at one stage. This is truly a 'survivor' 😀

I use an entry level Canon EOS M100 with 28mm macro lens 😉
