i found this attractive vintage watch at an antique store. It’s marked Doxa but it’s clearly off center. The movement isn’t signed anywhere but under the balance you can see a shield with a cross and the number 238. I found it’s a lorsa French movement. It was only 40 dollars so no harm if it’s a Franken watch. Has a nice large dial and wears large on the wrist. Anyone have any insights or opinions? :)

I read that one too! I wonder why anyone would fake a Doxa? Hmm

Maybe? Every Doxa I have seen had a signed movement and serial number. I suppose it’s possible they used a Lorsa movements at some point?

I’ll post one soon. But the back and the inside of the case back are blank.
