Hi, I have an Omega from the 60s hat belonged to my Granfather. Despite having all the paperwork as well, I can't seem to work out what model it is. Other than the Omega symbol, there is nothing else written on the face. Can any one help?

Much appreciated,

Nate.

Hi Nate,
In this modern age can you work out how to use a camera phone or digital camera (or can you get access to someone with them).
Without photos (front / back and if possible the movement and inside the case back) there is not much anyone can do on the interweb to help. With the photos (if good quality) all should be revealed.

Thank you. I'm not sure about taking the back off but here are some photos of the exterior.

Many thanks.

Ok you have the information you need in the paperwork, the model number and the serial number.

@1965 from the serial number which is from google,

and the reference or model number is for a British cased gold watch, which is why the reference number is most likely not giving you any information. It does not have a model name or a range name like "seamaster" etc.

I assume you know the business was a rubber works in High Wycomb and this is what it looked like when your grandfather started there in 1947. https://www.britainfromabove.org.uk/image/eaw003775

Yes....straight off the warships and into the rubber factory....I know all about my Grandad.

Thank you for the help with this. I guess I'd better find a local waych expert to find out more.

Many thanks,

Nate.

Having a photo of the inner case back and movement will help. The crown looks a bit suspect / did the watch ever have a service? It is probably due a service either way. Happy hunting for more information.
