Hi OF Zenith collectors, It has been a while since I wanted to present myself here, so here it goes. I am Giannis, I started collecting vintage watches about 3 years ago and my collection is mainly Zenith. It all started when I was looking for a present for my wife, that she could later pass on to my new born son. I was actually looking for a modern watch but when I stumbled upon LouS great article (thanks LouS!) on the early El Primeros and I was hooked. The journey started with my first vintage Zenith (a chocolate G381) that was available at a local dealer in Munich at that time and it soon became an obsession. I started reading about vintage Zenith (the best information was available in this forum!) and contacting collectors for help before buying further pieces. Spending most of my time in reading and hunting down watches to buy, I apologize that I failed to contribute anything to the community. One of my resolutions for 2018 is to change that and give back to the community at least a bit of what I got from OF the last 3 years. Big thanks to all fellow collectors that I bothered in private conversations with my silly questions all these years: you are such a great helpful bunch, guys! I appreciate it! Ok, enough said, I know you like pictures as much as I do, so here are some pics of my collection. Pics are old, but I promise to present the watches with adequate pics during 2018. Have a great WE, Giannis
Beautiful collection! Thanks for introducing yourself. I too usually sit in the shadows and try to gather as much information as I can, but this year I am going to try and contribute and help other forum member like I have been helped over the years. Cheers!
Stunning collection Giannis ! ……Several of my favourites there Lovely photography too…Thank you for sharing
Absolutely stunning collection. Thank you for sharing. For those of us that are illiterate about Zeniths, I would appreciate the reference numbers. Like Jim I would also like to know which one gets the maximum wrist time? Paul
Great collection of Zenith,s in 3 years So when you mention mostly Zenirh what are your others ? ( got a feeling you have a few Movado's also )
I only can repeat what others said - fantastic collection @gbmuc! Congratulation on these fabulous finds - it took me four years longer to find only have of what you show here. And not to forget - you not only found most of the cornerstones - you found them in great condition (look at that A277 or the Cairelli or the smokey A385 or the 3818 or....)
Huge Congrats for your overwhelming collection ! Most stunning to me is the tropical G381. Keep them all in good health.
