Sharing my wife's new UG 262, which I bought from our very own @woodwkr2. As per he, "Extremely unusual copper dial with white, Breguet numerals. Comes on a new-old-stock lizard grain band that complements this vintage perfectly." The size is 32mm. There's a dedication engraved on the caseback dated June 6, 1944. Incidentally, my wife's birthday is June 8, 1977. Buying from Byron is an experience. He regulated the watch based on my wife's lifestyle (not just whether she was left or right handed) and he sent me constant updates (with pictures) throughout the regulation process. Here are pics of the watch: The size is just perfect on my wife: The strap is really beautiful: Just look at that movement: I love UGs so much that I had to get my wife her own. This is her first UG. Or I as I secretly think in my head, my smallest UG. But hey, look at it on MY wrist:
Congratulations and very generous of you to get your wife such a nice vintage watch...but be careful, you may have started something you can not stop! She may start raiding your watch box more often that you would prefer.
Gave my wife this Stowa on a nice black Corc strap... and ever since she has been peering over my shoulder every time I open one of my watch boxes...I have caught her with my Flying Dutchman and my Certina on her wrist a few times and am sure this will progress over time.
A beautiful piece! The dial and hands are very attractive and the screw-back case looks solid. The movement is interesting with a Breguet overcoil(?) and a screwed chaton for the escape wheel jewel. This is my cal. 262 from a few years earlier. Lizard grain straps do look great on these.
Nice...Bought M6 Accutron Spaceview a few years back. It quickly wound up on a white patent leather strap as a daily wearer for my wife.
