I just got this 70s Tudor 7169/0 Montecarlo from another collector who is trimming down his collection. He still has another one, the 7031 homeplate model which he will keep. The Montecarlo I got is in very good condition and the collector is known for just keeping his watches in a safe. The Tudor looks like it was hardly used at all. He also owns the Omega Speedmaster 105.012 cal. 321 with tropical dial that I posted earlier. We are still negotiating for a better price and hopefully we can come to terms soon. I was also shown a Tudor 7922 "no crown guard" Submariner with the big crown but he wants me to make an offer for the watch which I have no idea at all what to offer because not much information is available on the internet.
Thats a beauty! I just got a Big Block this week after looking for a good one for about four months. This is a stock photo of the one I got.
Lovely example, the one thing that lets the re-edition of that tudor down is not having that unique cyclops at six, such a cool feature
NIce Tudor, the 7922 is a great find. They are expensive if everything is correct and pleasing to look at. Good luck with it. M
I used to own a blue 7159, they are fantastic watches. Such a great look and heritage without the Paul Newman-like price tag.
Reviving this old thread to see some of these beautiful Tudor Chronos. I would love to own one of these but since I can't afford it I have to settle for the pictures of the ones you guys own So please share.
Spacefruit’s profile description needs to be changed from “prolific speedmaster hoarder” to “prolific watch hoarder”
Hot diggidy damn. This looks great OP. Also have a Big Block 79160 - drsg1964. Love it. The silver dial works so well.
