looking to get some info on this watch, where i might be able to get a bezel insert or have one painted, and the value of the watch as it sits and how it should be restored, i know a lot of people think these should be left as is with its "vintage" look.

the second hand still has a little lume to it. it runs strong and the watch keeps great time.
I did some research and from what i can tell the dial color is rare and the fact that it has straight lugs makes it more desirable. this is my first omega.I just picked up two others and will be asking for info on those as well.

    thank you in advance,
    Andre Adamson

Nice case but dial has been repainted and relumed and as you already know is missing the original bezel printing. Value is as a parts watch - I suppose you could have it serviced, have the bezel repainted (Aldo in Italy does a good job but it is not cheap and you have to ship the bezel to him in Italy and from what I hear wait quite a bit of time) and purchase a new dial but after that it will still not be a sought after watch.

Yea you can actually see the triangle shaped lume underneath the trapezoid shaped lume as well.

well that's disheartening, you mentioned that the value would be as a parts watch; would that be for the same model watch or was this movement used in other styles? maybe i would frankenstein it for myself.

This movement was used in several different omega models. Cannot tell for sure if this movement originally left the factory in this case. But the fact that the dial has been redone and the bezel is missing are both problematic.

so maybe i should sell this as parts and concentrate on the other watches...

hands and a dial are gonna run about 500.00 not to mention the bezel.

    could the bezel be swapped?
