I just got a 6117-8000 that needs some work. Any recommendations?

 

Looks fine to me cosmetically Foo2rama. Not sure about the hands though if they have been relumed already. I had a Seiko oyster bracelet fitted to my Navigator and it matches well.

 

Looks fine but running 1 hour 45 minutes fast and the bezel ratchet is shot. It's visible condition is why I purchased it

The bezel ratchet should be an easy fix, and I assume the hairspring is shot... So I need someone with the parts to fix it. They should be common for someone that works on that era Sieko's. I just don't have any recommendations for Seiko work in the US.

Do you have a grand scheme? Like trying to own at least one example of each Seiko line made from say 1960 through 1990? i don't think it's possible to buy 1 of each - where would you find room?!? lolcow

I've been spending some time recently trying to learn about Seiko. As you know better than I do, it can be a bit overwhelming as there's lots to know.

Last week, I purchased (3) new to me pieces:

LM 5606 7070
KS 44-9990
KS 4402-8000

I pick them up tomorrow morning @ the Post Office and
I'm excited to see what I've got myself into. I've 4 or 5 divers and these will be the first dress watches.

Of the three, I think I'm going to like 4402-8000. She's got super fat - beefy lugs and looks great. Also it's never been polished (good) or serviced (bad?)...

Nice KS citizenrich. The KS 4402 8000 is a great find. It is one of the finest chronometer watches that Seiko has produced. The watch is powered by the calibre 4402a which is a hand wind, hacking, 25 jewel, 18,000bph movement . Manual wind GS and KS models are somehow, more collectible than their automatic counterparts.
