Just to share and hear opinions and critics about my two connie pieces.
Bought with the invaluable help of friendly Desmond.

    1) Omega Constellation 2782/2799SC in 18k rose gold with 354 bumper movement. US$2000,00

    2) Omega Constellation pie pan 'grande luxe' (I think) in 18k yellow gold BB368.900 with movement 561.
    $1900,00

    Cheers

Hi Peemacgee, yes both were bought in Brasil. I did noticed the lack of info in the back case of the 561, Desmond told me that looks like a british cased connie.

Actually doing my homework now... it is a Brazillian case, made by a company called Beta due to laws of prohibition of gold imports. I think it has low value to the collectors, but to me it is a nice piece to own.

Indeed, and an English or British made case would have British hallmarks too.

The bumper was made by Antoine Gerlach according to Desmonds research

I think the bumper probably needs a service btw, and i wouldnt polish the dog leged connie any further

From the outside the medallion could easily be mistaken for a French or English case but once you see the inside it had to be a different ‘locally made’ case.
It’s good that you confirmed it was Brazil because the historical thread didn’t come to a conclusion.

Yes, I am glad to be part of this outstanding forum, and what I can do to share my humble knowledge I will try to do it. As for the bumper watch, it is not a pie pan dial, but I see inumerous posts at chrono24 and ebay calling it a '''pie pan' dial, am I wrong?

The 2782 is a dome dial.

    On this forum!

I did a "reversed Google image" using the image, and boomeranged back to OF!
