Seriously didn’t even know they wrote it until today. I figured they would have emailed me about it. Oh well.

Great story and thank you for sharing. Speaking from experience I know ABC Watchwerks is topnotch.
Could you elaborate on the work that was done/needed on the movement?

Very cool. I had seen that just recently and had no idea it belonged to one of our now-famous members!

    Well done @jricketts65

Nice to know watches like this are still out there. This is one of the reasons that drives many collectors to keep hunting.

Even though the original DON bezel looks quite worn I still think it's pretty cool and tells a great story about the watch.

They did a full service, sourced one original pusher, refurbished the other, replaced the crystal, and touched up the hands.

Normally I would say: why YOU, WHY YOU and not ME, THE HELL !?! But..I find it very cool to see a 23 year old being into something substantial and beautiful ( as opposed to Smart-Watches or any other short lived consumer goods that are already destined for the landfill after leaving the factory). In other words: you deserve it so much, congrats! And now pictures please :)

Great story and hopefully it is the first of many finds for you. Hope you have kept the DON bezel safe - one day you might decide to put it back onto the watch for originality. It's a big part of the story of the watch - presumably the bezel took a lot of dings from the original owner's camera if the watch was on his belt.

    Congrats dude.

Just gonna say... I'm not sure I wouldn't still want that DON bezel on there even in the shape that it is. I mean, just about the only part that is still visible is the dot over 90, and it's just a chunk of metal that we have arbitrarily decided is cool - so why not keep it for the status of it? Haha. Just a thought.
