I just picked up my first leather strap. This was made of Horween shell cordovan by Myron Erickson @ Rover Straps. The craftsmanship is top notch. Very pleased, and boy wearing it in a strap is super comfortable!!

Looks great! Is that #8 shell with ivory stitch? Very classy.

I like your picture back drop as well.

Myron made my first custom made strap! I have since dubbed it Rover Haven Original. It started out as natural, and aged to a perfect cognac color.

These Rover Haven straps are made for Speedy's!

Watch looks great! Love a speedy on leather.

Here's a B&S grey brown with an RHD deployant.

Looks like Rover Straps is not taking anymore orders until the fall. Any other sources for a custom natural leather strap? I would love something like this, but I don't know who makes it.

Check out Bas&Lokes or Black Forest Atelier. I've used Bas before and the straps are top notch. I haven't personally bought a Black Forest strap though.

    Hi Senorx,

Thanks for thinking of me, and yes, you are correct I am on strap sabbatical until the fall. But in any case, I don't make a perforated strap like the one you're looking for. If you look up Jankoxxx, I know he does and he also works with shell cordovan. Tell him Rover Haven sent you!

    Thanks again,

    Myron

That's a Heuerville, I believe. Incredible quality, and bespoke sizes. I've owned a few straps and Stewart is a great gentleman to work with, excellent communication as well.

Thank you. I have contacted Stewart and in the process of ordering my leather strap in natural leather. 14 weeks wait, but looks like it will be worth it.

More than worth it. I'm on my 4th heuerville now, and each one is better than the last :D

I've got an article in the works right now that should be ready in a few minutes to help hold you over with some great watch porn within it. Stay tuned!

Cool. Did it start out as natural cordovan or cow hide?

It is natural shell cordovan. The transformation of this leather is almost magical,

    Here is another example.

    New strap, new natural shell

Good news: Rover Haven , Myron is your guy!

Bad news: He is on a Sabbatical, but I'm sure he will be happy to make an Arts & Craft strep in the near future

If you can be patient, RH is the company to go with here. I've met the strap maker in person (Myron)---top notch watch guy/guy in general.

I really am ashamed to admit this, but PKOM (pre knowledge of Myron), I owned a natural shell strap from hodinkee. The comparison isn't close. His shell samples are the perfect "not too thick, not to thin".
