I purchased a Speedmaster Mark 4.5 a few months ago off of WUS.
I'm not a fan of the Moon Watch, but I do love the Mark series.

I bought it from a private seller who said that it was recently serviced.

    Recently serviced means:
    last year?
    last five years?
    never?

    Who knows.
It seemed wise to have it serviced
( As a side note, the seller represented the watch honestly, not trying to bad mouth him ).

I contacted Abell Watchmakers out of Texas to service my new, to me, watch.
He quoted me a price of $450 to service it.
I then needed a new crystal, seals, and pusher.
Total price with shipping was $610.
It only took about six weeks!

Communication with him was excellent. If I had a question, he answered me the day I emailed. He also emailed me to keep me informed as to what he was doing or what parts he was waiting on.

I can't imagine the process working any better!

I wanted to share this with anyone out there who might be looking for someone to repair their Omega.
Abell watchmakers has done, at least for me, an excellent job.
