Hi Everybody, I have always - well 20 years - anyway been a fan of vintage Omega's and lucky enough to own a 1954 black face pilots watch. Some time ago I had the great fortune to fall over a Speedmaster at an antique fair for next to nothing. After a long and expectant wait while my repaired did his stuff my 1966 Speedmaster is now on my wrist. The search is now on for the correct or copy strap....Well pleased !
@lummox Looks terrific. So, who did you enlist to do the "repair," and what exactly did you have done?
Hi Chaps, Thanx for the welcome and the positive comments You are not going to believe this but it was £20 !! The Repair etc was alot more !! LOL . The Seller did'nt have a clue about watches it had just " come out of a drawer somewhere " ! It was well jammed up with some internal rusting etc. Needed some replacement parts which were sourced when available. I have some pictures coming of the work done and the movement which I will post when I get them !!
