Very nice! What's the general consensus on ridged crowns? Are they replacements for the flattened octagonal ones? Function any better?
Ridged crowns were used by the factory on later model (>24M serial number) Constellations, both pie-pan and dome dials. Sometimes, they were used as replacements by Omega when a Constellation was sent in for factory service or because a customer couldn't grip it properly. I don't think yours is the correct crown used by Omega, but you should be able to order the correct ridged one. Finding an original, thin 10-sided crown is very difficult. Omega hasn't made them for decades. A few pop-up from time to time on eBay. However, the issue is that there are several non-compatible versions that are almost impossible to differentiate from tiny internet pictures. Hope this helps, gatorcpa
