I first posted this Quick Guide on the TZUK forum in 2012 where my user name is Jack Norman.

It seems to have been popular as it has been visited over 92,000 times!

    http://forum.tz-uk.com/showthread.p...mega-Seamaster-300-including-Military-watches

It was recently decimated by the Photobucket fiasco but I have now replaced the pics originally 'borrowed' from the Internet which had disappeared.

As mentioned in the original post if you feel any of the info is not correct please let me know.

Also let me know if you have any pics that you think are better than the ones I have used.

    Good hunting, Jack

I'm one of those 92,000 visitors. It's a great guide so thanks for taking the time to update it and of course for writing it in the first place. It's so annoying what Photobucket have done.

Jack’s SM300 research has been the first stop for many vintage SM300 buyers; myself included. Saved us from expensive mistakes for sure.

    I’m honored that Jack’s first “borrowed” pic is a seller’s pic of a 166.024 SM300 I sourced a couple of years ago.
I’ve recently done a bit of parts business with Jack so he has my address to forward the first royalty check :D.

Well done. There is a great amount of information that's hard to find in one place....Kudos for all the time and effort you must have put into this.

The most complete guide to SM300's out there. Referenced before and will reference in the future. Great resource. Thanks for replacing the pictures. Job well done.

Thanks to JohnLy, Nactex, milhouse, rolexowner and CajunTiger for your comments.

Another great resource for Omega research is http://old-omegas.com/ and fortunately this site remains unaffected by Photobucket.

A really nice SM300 and worthy of being Pic 1.

No royalty cheques I'm afraid but I have added a credit to the pic for you.

Can you cite the source for PIC.2 - Cross section of the case?

    Thanks for the great guide!

Someone told me that a while ago but I decided to leave it as they are very close. As I do not have 165.024 version I thought it was better than nothing. If Forum membes think it is confusing I will remove it.

Thank you for a great guide!

If you need a sharper/better quality picture of my (former) 165.024 (pic. 4) let me know :)
