My Po Stopped Working - Very Hard To Restart

I have a Quantum of Solace edition of planet ocean with 2500 movement. Over last year it was +2sec a day. I didn't wear the watch for a couple of weeks and it was extremely hard to restart the watch. After winding it fully 40-50 times i was shaking the watch and moving in circular motion. After that it will go for 5 sec and stop again. I would have to repeat this for about 10 min to get it going again.

Last night after fighting to restart the watch i finally got it going. After 4hrs of wearing i put a fully winded watch on my watch winder. It was set with 6hr delay and 800 rotation per day. This morning I found my watch not working. I know there is nothing wrong with my winder, because I have couple other watches with the same movement 2500 and 2507 and they both work great. Please help.

Is it under warranty still? Should be able to get them to take care of it.

My warranty card is blank, I think watch itself came out in 2009 so I guess it could be under warranty.
Is this a common behavior for omega? I have a 17 yo Rolex never serviced and never had any issues like that.

Its a rare occurrence that sometimes happened with early Cal 2500 movements, the 2500D in the current Seamaster Pro is a very different design, and the Cal 8500 which has replaced most of the 2500s has no real relationship at all to the 2500.

Guess I can mark another X on my score sheet for caliber 2500's that suddenly quit ticking.

Maybe a mainspring issue, hopefully it can be fixed under warranty, you must be gutted

Omega claims it's a lubrication issue and it's not uncommon for caliber 2500's to stop for no apparent reason.

I can understand stopping with no apparent reason, why is so hard to make it go again that i don't understand. It's frustrating, but once i get it to tick is going strong and accurate. I have another 2500 no issues there and I also have 2507 not sure how different it is from 2500 if anything but also no issues.

Thank you for you advice. My warranty card has no date, what purchased date should I put in to be still covered? Is it even possible since watch was released around the same time as the movie Nov 2008. Thanks.

You won't be able to add a purchase date and have it validate the warranty. The card must be stamped by an Omega dealer to validate it. Since your card is not stamped, I suspect it was either forgotten (happened to me once) or it's from the grey market. Any chance you could post some pictures of the watch? I do like the textured look of the dial.
