Hi Everyone, Here's a couple of pics from a new build I've just finished. We have a new case, new 1861, new grey/silver dial and blued steel hands. A steel bezel and display back (for now) completes the theme. Am I right in saying this would be the only one around with this exact combination? The hands are from one of the very early LE Moonphase models in white gold and as such the central seconds hand has no lume in the pointer. This, according to MWO is how it should be as there was an almost identical model made (black bezel) as part of normal production. Enjoy
That is a very attractive combo, especially with the blues hands. I know the car comparison grates some members, but it reminds me of a well-crafted hot rod. Tastefully done, quality on par with the original manufacture, and an expression of art that is beauty. Not many collectors appreciate "mods," but I think in time it may become an accepted and appreciated niche. Even the Pebble Beach Concours D'Elegance now invites hot rods to their exclusive event!
Looks like a one of a kind, the blue hands and the silver bezel are an interesting option I am disappointed that you didnt get the Omega logo in the crystal sitting straight though I have a couple of watches with skeleton hands but never saw an Speedmaster with that
That looks fantastic and has a nice, vintage vibe. It's like a grown up version of the 60's Seamaster chronographs with silver dials.
Outstanding work! Such a beautiful time piece.... I'm not a big Speedmaster fan. I wear an opaline AT Master Co-axial daily and if there was a production watch like yours I would buy it! The only other Moonwatch on my wish list is the GSOTM. Well done, mate. Cheers
Sarcasm, correct? [emoji12] It's a brand new factory case , they come with the crystal pre fitted. The risk I'd take removing and refitting is greater than the amount it irks any OCD tendencies I may have lol
