    Hi all

For sharing, my Omega Seamaster 2576-4 Breguet numerals I acquired for a few years, with case number 2576-4, Breguet numerals equipped with cal. 344 bumper with small second hand. The most lovable detail I love about this model is the chunky, almost straight, faceted lugs, which looks masculine and wears nicely.

The previous owner of the watch claimed he got it from original owner in an estate find. I don't really know why the dial patinated to an even, very pleasant egg-yolk color, but the hands a quite rusty, weren't they made of stainless steel?

I'm looking for the original Omega replacement crystal for this piece, plus a pair of hour/minute hand, can anyone shed a light on the parts reference I should look for and where to find it? Thanks so much!

I don't think any - or perhaps only few - of the hands used in vintage watches are steel. Most are plated metal.

No help with the parts, sorry. The crystal can be found, but I am reasonably sure that the hands aren't in production... They could probably be replated, though.

Thanks so much, never know the most hands on vintage pieces are plated metal. Good info.

Great watch. The hands don’t bother me. Enjoy that seamaster.

Lovely watch  New plexi could be a nice touch if the shape of the one installed is far off from the original, however I'm not sure new hands would look right given the patina of the dial... Anyway, just my two cents, I would enjoy it as is!

Nice looking bumper. I wouldn't worry too much about a replacement crystal being OEM Omega. The original crystal likely wouldn't have been logo marked, they didn't have logos until a few years into the 1950s so if you were to fit one with the mark now it may ironically look incorrect. Just get a good watchmaker to measure it and find a correctly fitting replacement, Omega or otherwise.

Thanks guys all for the kind words @chronoboy64 @padders @MTROIS @77deluxe.

And that's a super nice waffle dial Seamaster @juju. Can I see the profile view of your crystal?

Actually since the indices & the small second hand are still in very good, shiny condition, in contrast with the rusted hands, i found it a bit annoying sometimes.

For what it's worth, the plexi is signed on mine.
