Proudly carried in my jacket's inner pocket in formal situations.

Gorgeous pocketwatch! Is it a family piece, and if so, what's the history?

    Thank you!
The watch produced end of 1914 for the celebration of 50 years for the Société Suisse.
It's properly serviced and adjusted from my personal restorator and works fine (about +3 minutes in one month).

    Thank you!!
It's not a family piece and further more no special knowledge of it's history!
    See above reply.

You have a nice cal. 19" LOB.
It is rare to see an Omega repose pocket watch case. I have some nice variations of this caliber but none in a repose case.
I can't see any markings, but by the looks of the first back case lid (2 pieces; the center scene is riveted into the frame) the case seems to be silver.

It's "German Silver" an alloy similar to silver! Not so big difference in the price to the silver with better polishing results.

Just and FYI - German silver has no silver in it, so it's not really similar to silver alloy.

    Cheers, Al

Yes! Exactly one alloy without silver in it, similar to silver in surface and feeling.
