As most of you know, in 1957 Omega introduced it's Master series, the 2913-1 Seamaster, the 2914-1 Railmaster and the 2915-1 Speedmaster. Of these three iconic watches, I have exactly zero. What I have managed to source (in 2015) are slightly later references, wonderful still, but all lacking in one way or another. So the hunt continues. 2913-3 Seamaster. Bezel is a redo as the originals were very fragile and flacked away. 2914-4 Railmaster. All original but lacking the earlier issued Broad Arrow hand. Special thanks to @flame and @MSNWatch for reviewing this watch before I purchased it. 2915-3 Speedmaster. While this Speedie has an aged service dial, the pristine Black Base 1000 Bezel is in unbelievable condition Thanks for viewing. .........2913-3 Seamaster...........................2914-4 Railmaster.......................................2915-3 Speedmaster 2914-4 Railmaster 2915-3 Speedmaster 2913-3 Seamaster
Fantastic set. Hope you get to enjoy wearing them. Can't see you having so much fun with the Christie's "Invoice Malfunction" 2915-1 when it is yours.
Very nice. Got the bracelets to go with them ? Fragile as they are, they do make them look the business..
Hoarder of Speed >>>> Hoarder of Omega WOW, how do you possibly decide what watch you will wear each day
The 2915-3 is on a 7077 Transitional with #6 end links. I am Considering swapping this with my 2998-1 which has the older original 7077 with all 5 double springy links and original #6 links with the single notch. The 2913-3 has a late 60's bracelet but will be getting an upgrade soon. The Railmaster has a rustic leather strap with vintage Omega buckle. The Railmasters were sold with bracelets or leather.
I picked up the Railmaster last week and have been wearing it. Very comfortable to wear but it is heavy due to the extra thick metal fortifying it against magnetic fields, which is what it was designed to do. The dial is a full mm thick. The other's have a 0.4mm thick dial. While the Speedie has a thin magnetic cap behind the movement, the Railmaster has full inner caseback. It is very interesting in its design and I will post more Railmaster pics soon.
