Im really into that seiko with that hot orange dial. I know they make some inexpensive models in automatic which I dig but they have the day date and I’d like a less busy dial. Oris has a beautiful one with just a small date window which would be perfect but it’s like 1,900 which I can’t swing right now. I see this one by a company called deep blue with the right colored dial but I never even heard of deep blue and I read some mixed reviews. Just wondering if I’m missing anything with that colored dial or if anyone knows deep blue. By the way excuse my hyper texting I’m just trying to keep my mind off things and what better way than watches. Thanks

It's not automatic but does fill a void. 20180201_102213.jpg

Baby monster and a couple others they make. Jomashop has one for 150 I think but it might be sold out

Picked up this SRP315 a few years ago on Amazon, dirt cheap at $160 for a hacking auto, 200m, and fantastic lume. Unfortunately looks like any available on eBay have crept up in price

I like seikos. It came to me in a trade. New price today? Can't say. I believe they call it sne209...if it's still produced. 20180122_142407.jpg
The monsters are nice too. The earlier ones in particular.

    Edit...sne109

How many mm is your orange one. I’m looking now and I see a lot of 45mm. That’s pushing it a bit for me. I really like 38 but can pull off 40-42 not sure about 45

Seiko SEIKO Orange Monster (SKX781J1) would be my favorite orange Seiko with automatic and it costs almost nothing.

I just ordered a simple seiko yesterday. Didn’t get the orange yet but found a nice automatic very inexpensive. The dial is numbered in 5’s I’ll post a pick when you get it

    I always
want a zenith but I ran into a thing called losing job and needing surgery. The seiko was 70 bucks. I didn’t think I can find a zenith in that territory. I will get myself back in prime watch territory I’m just injured and laid off at the same time so I need to try some different things

Well came in the mail today. I really like the dial. It did cheer me up a bit. Always impressed what quality seiko puts out for the money. I’ll put it in the seiko thread when I can take a better pic image.jpg image.jpg

It appears that the day ring in your watch is for a crown-at-three Seiko. It's a different day wheel for the crown at the 4 o'clock position. Like this one:

Really. It does have different Colors when I change it. So you think there is an issue with this watch. That would be messed up. It’s my first auto seiko you would know better than I

It's not the color, it affects the alignment of the day inside the window. That was the problem with the one in the photo. I had to go back to the original movement that I had swapped out and swap the date and the day Wheels
