Hi guys, I’m new to the forum. I’ve been stumbling around on the forum quite a while now, but never subscribed. Last week, my new arival came by mail and thus I saw an opportunity to join the forum, introduce myself and place some shots of my new purchase. It’s a (I believe) 60’s Omega Seamaster on a BOR bracelet. Buying it was a bit of a guess, since no pictures of the movement were provided. I think it looks great, giving it a first look. Unfortunately I couldn’t open the case back myself either. The back is closed real tight. I assume it is an early 166.010. Anyway, nice to join the forum. All comments regerding the watch are welcome (eg regarding the originality of the watch), even the critical ones. I’m also curious about what you think about whether this is a 166.010. Cheers, Mitch.
The 166.010 is one of my favorite Seamaster designs- on my list. and the cross-hair dial is one of the most coveted. Get it serviced, replace the crystal and just give it a good cleaning (not polishing) and enjoy!
Actually- just realized it has the hanger S and the dauphine hands, it’s probably the 14763 or similar which is earlier than the 010 but similar case shape and size
