After a few weeks since sealing the deal with @dougiedude, I finally received this beautiful Longines Admiral.

I found it funny that the watch had another layer of covering, as if it was teasing me. Seriously though, Doug did a great job with the packaging:

I already knew it was a good looking watch from the pics. But I still got awestruck when I finally saw it. What a beauty:

    Those lugs: IMG_9898.JPG IMG_9899.JPG

    What a great dial: KIMG_9896.JPG LIMG_9895.JPG
Aside from the watch's intrinsic beauty, knowing that it came from respected members of the forum, Doug and Dennis (before), makes the watch even more special!

The watch looks great on you, Aaron. I'm glad it will be appreciated as much as Dennis and I both appreciated this one...

    Now....

Why did I sell it?!? :whipped:

I still ask myself that question about quite a few Longines.

Had no doubts that you would, Aaron. Wear her in the best of health!

Did you find some shouldered lugs? Or did you just go with those in the box?

BTW, You can thank Dennis for this one, as he's the one that spotted her in the wild, captured her, and brought her into the 'pen'.

My part was easy... I just tended her for awhile:D..

    @dougiedude
Let me know when you get tired of the one on top of the watch pole with the lizard strap.

That's the 'stray'; came from the herd of another fellow member.

I'll let you know, but I've had seller's remorse with every one I've sold so far...

It was my first Longines, so it won't be leaving the herd anytime soon.

If sellers remorse was real you wouldn't have all those watches in the picture. It's like the tooth fairy you grow out of it.

Did sell a nice boat once.

    You're right.

When it comes to selling vintage watches, I'm still a n00b :)... each one seems so special. I have a bunch of micro-divers I'd get rid of in a heart-beat if I could just 'cross the street', and put forth the effort!

Dibs, noted, however, the bezel has somehow disappeared off of it !

I've been meaning to ask Dennis @ulackfocus if maybe it decided to wander back to New Jersey... maybe he's seen it?

    It just don't look right:

Here's the 'spider' before bezel senility (or was it wanderlust/home-sickness) set in:

Wow, that's a sad before & after set of pics :-( Hoping you can find a correct replacement bezel as it looks so nice.
